HOW TO SUPPORT THE FRUSTRATION WHEN DIET?

"The truth is that the" plan "word should never be equated with the word frustration, obligation, duty, or austerity" says Dr. Nathalie Sprung nutritionist
You really think he must banish frustration of the plans?

Dr Nathalie Sprung: Yes, because in fact, it should never really go on a diet, but changing lifestyles in order to eat, you have to do an apprenticeship that absolutely must be integrated into your lifestyle. For example, if you have 5 business weekly meals you need to continue to make these meals by choosing your food better. But the solution is certainly not to deny these business meals.

Why is it bad to be frustrated?

Dr Nathalie Sprung: Because frustration is always deprivation and leads to a lack. Or lack acts on the brain. The more you are constantly missing, the more you feel unhappy and it is not compatible with long-term good results regime. It is observed in case of too much frustration, bulimia episodes of binge or compensatory reaction. What makes too deprive gives opposite results to those intended. Here's an example: One of my patients 36 years I would call Mathilde controlled "death" to 1500 calories per day. So, at two in the morning, she woke every night to eat cakes so she was hungry. Because the hypothalamus, a gland in the brain, too little remembers (or overflow) he had in 24 hours. And Mathilde magnified over time, depriving themselves all day, every day!

How then to eat well without frustration?

Dr Nathalie Sprung: When a system works well, it is not frustrating, we chose a behavior that is integrated into its way of life, and it is frustrating not us, it is us.

Why is it better to start a diet supervised by a doctor?
Dr Nathalie Sprung: We spend a moral contract with the nutritionist and the contract must agree to both the person viewing and Doctors. The physician must listen to his patient, adapt to it and feel involved in the success. There is no stereotypical diet. Each individual is different, each plan must be. A regime that we do not follow is a bad diet!

How can we judge that a diet is successful?

Dr Nathalie Sprung: The success of a diet judge the medium and long term, not the short term. The more you lose, the faster it must be frustrating, and the more we lose water and muscle instead of losing fat, which is not the intention.

What is the advantage of a slower speed without deprivation?

Dr Nathalie Sprung: It is that it is a diet for your lifestyle. So you will not feel depressed, unable to get there, and you will find your ideal weight by keeping your happiness and your eating pleasure!

It's easy to say that we should not frustration, but in practice, how do?

Dr Nathalie Sprung: Do not prohibit, but to re-learn, willing to redo her food education. And believe me, there is work, because often people who believe make many mistakes do well, and those who believe not make.

Can you give us some examples of common errors?

Dr Nathalie Sprung: For example, the idea that pasta are fattening, or that you should not eat in the evening of protein, bread makes you fat or to avoid meat. And the idea that is totally false that we should eat only low-fat products to lose weight. On the contrary, we must give good food to his body. What matters is the quality of the food more than quantity.
