Montignac,
Shelton and Dukan diets are the most famous dissociated.
However,
studies have shown that food dissociations are not effective ...
The principle of differentiated regimes
These
diets have in common that they allow room almost everything, but not
simultaneously.
The
idea is based on the belief that certain foods can not be digested at the same
time, to avoid some so-called adverse effects - creating toxins, weight, etc.
They
recommend to separate the taking of certain foods or types of food: you can eat
fat and sugar, for example, but not in the same meal.
Why are differentiated regimes ineffective?
Some
dissociated diets are effective in the short term, but often are not the
duration.
The
return to a more normal diet is back the lost pounds. But unless you have a
will and nerves of steel, it is very difficult to stick to it as the duration
are not compatible with a normal social life.
Furthermore,
studies have shown that dissociation in itself does not lose weight.
What
counts is the total energy intake and thus the amount of food you eat.
Where does the success differentiated regimes?
Many
people swear dissociated diets work. And it is true that one can lose weight by
dieting divorced ... but this is explained by anything other than the fact not
to consume certain foods together.
•
If you are only entitled to a select group of foods (proteins and fats, for
example), your appetite will be less stimulated because you will have less
choice.
•
Furthermore, these regimes that prohibit eating together lipids (fats) and
carbohydrates (sugars) actually suppress the richest elements calories by
nature, that is to say, pastries, chips, fried foods, chocolate, etc.
By
removing these fatty and sugary foods, total calories ingested decreases and
you lose weight.
But
this has nothing to do with the separation of food.
Weaknesses differentiated regimes
Dissociated
diets present no immediate danger to health. But they do not meet the basic
principles of a balanced diet.
•
Those who favor the proteins (meats, cold cuts, cheeses) encourage the
consumption of foods containing animal fats.
But
these so-called saturated fats are harmful to the cardiovascular system.
•
Furthermore, divest itself of certain foods causes frustration, which will
eventually be the cause of more or less big "meltdowns".
•
Some treatments (Antoine Shelton or plan) can contribute in fatigue, digestive
problems and deficiencies.
So
what is the solution to lose weight?
Still
more conventional unfortunately!
The
only lasting solution to lose weight is to reduce the total amount of calories
ingested or increase energy expenditure to burn calories through physical
activity.
Better
is to do both: less than calories ingested and energy expenditure!
